Director's shareholding

Big Yellow Group plc (the 'Company') announces that Adrian Lee, an executive
director, yesterday acquired 185,000 shares through the exercise of options with
an average exercise price of 54.6 pence per share. This increases his beneficial
holding to 1,003,800 shares representing 1.05% of the issued share capital of
the company.

The Company also announces that Philip Burks, a non-executive director, today
sold 500,000 shares at 610.8 pence per share.  This decreases his beneficial
holding to 8,267,000 shares, representing 7.20% of the issued share capital of
the Company.
