Tanzania Gold was notified on 20 October 2006 by Lehman Brothers International
(Europe) ('Lehman Brothers'), pursuant to Section 198 of the Companies Act 1985,
that as at the close of business on 18 October 2006 Lehman Brothers had an
interest in 2,224,200 ordinary shares of 0.2p each in the Company, representing
approximately 9.26 per cent. of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.
