BERKELEY RESOURCES LIMITED

Berkeley Resources Limited ("Berkeley" or "the Company") advises that it has today issued 10.6 million shares, following the exercise of the Primary Options held by Areva NC (formerly called Compagnie Generale des Matieres Nucleaires), at an exercise price of A$0.6762 each.  An application to AIM to list the new shares has been made, and the Company expects dealing of the new shares to commence on 29 January 2010.
