Drilling Report

Berkeley Resources Limited 15 December 2006 15 December 2006 COMMENCEMENT OF DRILLING The Directors of Berkeley Resources Limited (AIM: BKY.L) are pleased to advise that a program of approximately 5,000m of diamond and RC drilling has commenced on the Company's Salamanca I project, mainly focused on the Retortillo deposit. Initial drilling at Retortillo is aimed at verifying the assay and geological integrity of previous drilling, and providing an early assessment of areas where mineralisation appears to be open, both laterally and at depth. As assessment of ENUSA's detailed database for the project proceeds, additional drilling will be aimed at providing the required degree of confidence in the distribution and geology of the mineralisation that precedes calculation of a JORC compliant resource. The Company also expects to mobilise a second drill rig on its Caceres projects in the New Year, with a further 10,000m of drilling budgeted in that Province. The technical content of this report has been reviewed and approved by Mr Peter Ellis, a Member of The Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and an employee of Berkeley Resources Limited. Mr Ellis has sufficient experience which is relevant to the style of mineralisation and type of deposit under consideration and to the activity which he is undertaking to qualify as a Competent Person as defined in the 2004 Edition of the 'Australasian Code for Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves'. Mr Ellis consents to the inclusion in the report of the matters based on his information in the form and context in which it appears.
