Peter John Stoker

In addition, following the death of Mr Ashley Kenrick Bell, a director of the
company until the date of his death on 28th September 1999, the rights
attaching to options outstanding over 324,439 Bellway plc 12.5p ordinary
shares passed to the executors of his estate and are held under the terms of
his will.  As a consequence of this, Mr Peter John Stoker, only in his
capacity as one of the Executors of the Estate of Mr Ashley Kenrick Bell, has
a beneficial interest in those options.
