Director/PDMR Shareholding

Begbies Traynor Group plc (the "Group"), the specialist professional services consultancy, announces that the Board has today made a grant of share options under Group's Share Option Scheme to Geoffrey Hill, one of its executive directors.  The option agreement is over 200,000 ordinary 5 pence shares in the Group at an option price of 61.84p.  In addition to this award, the Group has also granted options under the same scheme to Nicholas Taylor, who is the Group's financial controller and who will become acting finance director with effect from 20 August 2010, and to John Humphrey, the Group's company secretary.  Both of these option agreements are over 50,000 ordinary 5 pence shares in the Group at an option price of 61.84p.

The options are exercisable after three years subject to a performance hurdle requiring an overall increase in adjusted earnings per share over a three year period of RPI plus 6%.  The options, if exercised in full, will represent approximately 0.34% of the Group's issued share capital.
