Further to the announcement on 12 September 2008, Begbies Traynor Group plc ('the Group') confirms that 7,878,788 new Ordinary Shares of 5p each have today been admitted to trading on AIM, increasing the issued share capital of the Group by 9.7% to 89,115,284 Ordinary Shares of 5 pence each.

The placing of these new Ordinary Shares raised £13.0 million, before expenses, the net proceeds of which will be used to provide working capital for the Group, largely in relation to the significant anticipated organic growth of the Group's core and counter-cyclical business insolvency practice resulting from the slowdown in the economy.
