BATM Advanced Communications Ld 24 November 2005 BATM Wins Major Long-Term Contract Bid with Leading Telecom Supplier and Trading Update London, 24th November 2005, BATM Advanced Communications Ltd (LSE: BVC), is delighted to announce that it has been advised that it has been the successful bidder for a major long-term contract with one of the world's leading telecom suppliers. BATM was competing in the bid with the leading players in the telecom arena and was awarded the contract after the most rigorous examination by the customer of all of its aspects. The innovative equipment can handle voice, video and data channels at a very high speed of 10Gbps simultaneously. The current solution provided by BATM is based on the most advanced telecom architecture available in the market. BATM believes that it is the first company in the world able to demonstrate the full availability and utilization of such technology for end users. Using this technology enables a level of reliability, flexibility, modularity and price points never available before. The pilot, utilizing BATM's equipment, is expected to run during 2006-2007, with full scale deployment starting in 2008. Whilst no firm value can be attributed to the contract at this stage, BATM estimates that,once full-scale deployment commences, it will have a substantial impact on sales (likely to amount to several tens of millions of US dollars and in excess of $10 million annually) and future profitability. BATM is also pleased to announce that sales in the second half of the year to 31st December 2005, continue to show significant increases over the corresponding half of 2004 and are at a higher level than the 34% reported at the half year.
