                                AGM Statement

At the AGM to be held later today, the Chairman, Peter Sheldon will make the
following statement:

'The general background against which we are operating is one in which many of
our competitors are reporting difficulties and capital expenditure budgets of
the telecoms industry are under pressure. However, I am pleased to be able to
report that these trends have not had the impact on our business that we might
have expected. Whilst it is not our practice to announce detailed figures at
this stage of the year, I am pleased to tell you that each of our key trading
indicators gives us reasonable confidence that we shall achieve our objectives
for the full year.'
