Barratt Developments PLC, Britain's Largest Housebuilder, today is hosting an
Investor/Analysts presentation in the City.

The management team will give presentations on growth prospects across the
Group, copies of which will be made available later today on the Company's
website www.barratt-investor-relations.co.uk.

Current Trading:

The Group remains fully on course to achieve market expectations for the year
ending 30th June 2004 and our 12th consecutive year of growth.

We are also very well placed for the future with strong sales across the country
and with our forward sales order book standing at record levels.

The housing market remains sound and recent interest rate increases will help to
deliver a sustainable market going forward.

The Company will give a Trading Update prior to the commencement of the close
season in July 2004.
