Application to admit shares to the Official List

An application has been made to the Financial Services Authority and the London Stock Exchange Plc for a total of 1,500,000 ordinary shares of 10 pence each (the "Shares") to be admitted to the Official List.

The Shares are being reserved under a block listing and will be issued as a result of the exercise of shares pursuant to the following schemes:

1997 Executive Share Option Scheme Employee Share Option Scheme Savings Related Share Option Scheme Executive Share Option Scheme

When issued, the Shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares.
