REPURCHASE OF SHARES

The Board of Baronsmead VCT 2 plc announces that on 24 March 2000 the Company
purchased for cancellation 98,000 ordinary shares of 10p at a price of 112p.

Following this purchase there are now 25,960,360 ordinary shares of 10p in
issue.
