Purchase of own shares by Company

The Board of Baronsmead VCT 2 plc announces that on 24 November 1999 the
Company purchased for cancellation 20,000 ordinary shares of 10p at a price of
90p.

Following this purchase there are now 24,505,716 ordinary shares of 10p in
issue.
