The Board of Baronsmead VCT 3 plc announces that on 29 September 2006 the
Company purchased 150,000 ordinary shares of 10p at a price of 110.5p.  These
shares will be held in Treasury.



Following this purchase there are now 32,362,392 ordinary shares of 10p in
issue. The Company's total listed shares are 35,092,392 ordinary shares of 10p.
