The Board of Baronsmead VCT 3 plc announces that on 23 December 2005 the Company
purchased 100,000 ordinary shares of 10p at a price of 100.8p.  These shares
will be held in Treasury.


Following this purchase there are now 33,438,684 ordinary shares of 10p in
issue. The Company's total listed shares are 34,778,684 ordinary shares of 10p.
