Company update

The Bankers Investment Trust PLC ("Bankers") announces today that it has reached agreement in principle with Henderson Global Trust plc ("HGL") that, in the event of a possible combination of  HGL and Henderson International Income Trust plc ("HINT"),  Bankers will be offered as an alternative roll-over option for those HGL investors that wish to retain a global growth mandate.

The combination of HGL and HINT would be by way of a Section 110 liquidation of HGL and roll-over into HINT, with HGL shareholders also being offered, as an alternative, the opportunity to roll-over all or part of their investment into Bankers shares. It is envisaged that Bankers shares would be issued at a premium to net asset value under the scheme and that in all events the transaction will not be net asset value dilutive for Bankers shareholders.
