Bank of Georgia Group PLC announces transaction in own shares

 

Bank of Georgia Group PLC (the " Company "- LSE: BGEO LN) announces that on 9 August 2022, Numis Securities Limited ("Numis") purchased on behalf of the Company the number of ordinary shares of £0.01 each on the London Stock Exchange as set out in the table below (the "Repurchased Shares") pursuant to the share buyback and cancellation programme which was announced on 30 June 2022 (the "Buyback Programme").

The purchase price represents the volume weighted average price paid by Numis in sourcing the Shares, with the highest and lowest price paid by Numis being:

Application will be made later this month for the Repurchased Shares to be cancelled pending which the shares will be held in Treasury. Following the cancellation of the Repurchased Shares, the total number of ordinary shares with voting rights will be 48,864,361, which may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.

The Company will make further announcements following the completion of any additional purchases pursuant to the Buyback Programme.
