Appointment of Finance Director



Pursuant to the announcement made on 22 September 1999 and to resolutions
passed at the Company's AGM on 3 November 1999, the Company is pleased to
announce the appointment of Nick Fiddler to the board as its Finance Director.
 He joined Belgo Group in March 1999 as Group financial controller, having
specialised in corporate finance with BDO Stoy Hayward.  He replaces Barry
Bartman whose retirement as Finance Director became effective at the AGM and
he has been re-elected to the board as a non-executive director.

Nick Fiddler has share options over 3,333,333 ordinary shares in the Company,
which are exercisable at 7.5 pence per share from 13 April 2002 to 12 April
2004.
