CHANGE OF ACCOUNTING REFERENCE DATE


Since the Company's interest in the Mount Cuthbert copper
project was sold on 28th January 2000 and as the Company felt
that it was important to show a Balance Sheet after the disposal
of this project in order that investors could see a current
representation of the Company's assets and liabilities the
Company's accounting reference period has been extended from
31st December 1999 to 31st January 2000.
