                   BALFOUR BEATTY ANALYST AND INVESTOR EVENT

Balfour Beatty plc, the international engineering, construction and services
group announces that it is hosting a meeting with analysts and investors in
London today, Thursday 29 June.

The purpose of the event is to provide analysts and investors with an
opportunity to enhance their understanding of the Group's PPP investment
business and its role in driving long-term value and growth.

Balfour Beatty Capital is a leader in the UK PPP market with 22 concessions,
including two at preferred bidder stage, which represent committed equity of
£283 million.

The presentations given at the meeting will cover the role of the Group's
investment company, Balfour Beatty Capital, in the overall Balfour Beatty
strategy; the Group's current PPP portfolio and its valuation; and the forward
strategy for Balfour Beatty Capital both in the UK and overseas.

The slides used in the presentation will be made available on the Investor
Relations section of the Group's website at the commencement of the event at
10am. A revised and updated section of the Group's website dedicated to its PPP
business will become live during the course of this morning.

No new material information will be disclosed at the meeting.

A trading update for the first half of the year is also being issued this
morning.
