Balfour Beatty plc ('the Company') today received notice that while Schroder
Investment Management Limited ('Schroders') continue to have an interest in
the ordinary share capital of the Company, it has now ceased to be a
notifiable interest for the purposes of Part VI of the Companies Act 1985
since it now represents less than 10% of the Company's issued ordinary share
capital.

Obtains access to the information in a personal capacity;
Is not required to be regulated or supervised by a body concerned with the regulation or supervision of investment or financial services;
