Scheme lapsed unexercised on 31 January 2001.  The exercise price was 257.2p.

The options granted under the Company's Savings Related Share Option Scheme on
23 May 1997 to Mr I P Tyler and Mr P J L Zinkin over 4,087 ordinary 50p shares
and 975 ordinary 50p shares, respectively, also lapsed unexercised on 31
January 2001.  The exercise price of these options was 208.0p.
