Grant of Options under the Balfour Beatty Savings Related Share Option Scheme 2001

Consequent upon the receipt of updated information from the administrators of the Company's Savings Related Share Option Scheme, the following amendments have been made to the announcement headed 'Director / PDMR Shareholding - Grant of Options under the Balfour Beatty Savings Related Share Option Scheme 2001', released on 8 May 2008 at 18:24 under RNS No 0410U.  

Mr I P Tyler has been granted an option over 664 50p Ordinary Shares under a 3 Year Savings Contract. Mr P J L Zinkin has been granted an option over 701 50p Ordinary Shares (savings contract term unaffected). 

All other details remain unchanged.

Grant of Options under the Balfour Beatty Savings Related Share Option Scheme 2001

On 7 May 2008, the following Directors / Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility ('PDMR') of Balfour Beatty plc ('the Company') were granted options over the Company's 50p Ordinary Shares under the Balfour Beatty Savings Related Share Option Scheme 2001, pursuant to an Invitation issued to all eligible employees of the Company:

Mr D J Magrath (Director): 935 

Mr A L P Rabin (Director): 321

Mr P J L Zinkin (Director): 701

Mr M Leger (PDMR): 1,708

All options were granted at an Exercise Price of 362.0p

Mr Tyler and Mr Rabin have each entered into a 3 Year Savings Contract; as a result their options are exercisable between 1 July 2011 and 31 December 2011. 

Mr Magrath, Mr Zinkin and Mr Leger have each entered into a 5 Year Savings Contract; as a result, their options are exercisable between 1 July 2013 and 31 December 2013.
