On 22 September 2005, Mr I P Tyler, a director of the Company, exercised matured
options over 640 50p Ordinary Shares in the Company that were held under the
Company's Savings Related Share Option Scheme, having been granted on 8 May
2002.  The exercise price was 184p per 50p Ordinary Share.

Following this transaction, Mr Tyler holds 85,515 50p Ordinary Shares in the
Company, and options over a total of 1,557 50p Ordinary Shares in the Company.
