PURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
Schroder UK Growth Fund plc announces that on 15 January 2001, the Company
purchased a total of 100,000 shares for cancellation at a price of 135.00 pence
per share. Following these purchases, there are a further 194,640,263 shares in
issue.
