PURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
Schroder UK Growth Fund plc announces that on 3 October 2000, the Company
purchased 140,000 shares for cancellation, at a price of 147.50 pence per share.
Following the purchase, there are a further 200,040,263 shares in issue.
