PURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
Schroder UK Growth Fund plc announces that on 5 September 2000, the Company
purchased 45,000 shares for cancellation, at a price of 156.50 pence per share.
Following the purchase, there are a further 202,338,263 shares in issue.
