PURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
Schroder UK Growth Fund plc announces that on 5 July 2000, the Company purchased
139,402 shares for cancellation, at an average price of 149.73 pence per share.
Following the purchase, there are a further 204,044,744 shares in issue.
