PURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
Schroder UK Growth Fund plc announces that on 18 October 2000, the Company
purchased 55,000 shares for cancellation, at a price of 138.50 pence per share.
Following the purchase, there are a further 199,615,263 shares in issue.
