PURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
Schroder UK Growth Fund plc announces that on 24 May 2000, the Company purchased
60,598 shares for cancellation, at an average price of 144.30 pence per share.
Following the purchase, there are a further 206,756,490 shares in issue.
