PURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
Schroder UK Growth Fund plc announces that on 23 May 2000, the Company purchased
330,808 shares for cancellation, at an average price of 145.76
pence per share. Following the purchase, there are a further 206,817,088 shares
in issue.
