PURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
Schroder UK Growth Fund plc announces that on 25 January 2000, the Company
purchased 189,064 shares for cancellation, at an average price of 143.62 pence
per share. Following the purchase, there are a further 214,741,892 shares in
issue.
