PURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
Schroder UK Growth Fund plc announces that on 24 January 2000, the Company
purchased 333,029 shares for cancellation, at an average price of 145.66 pence
per share. Following the purchase, there are a further 214,930,956 shares in
issue.
