PURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
Schroder UK Growth Fund plc announces that on 13 April 2000, the Company
purchased 76,499 shares for cancellation, at an average price of 148.50 pence
per share. Following the purchase, there are a further 208,256,792 shares in
issue.
