PURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
Schroder UK Growth Fund plc announces that on 31 January 2000, the Company
purchased 142,585 shares for cancellation, at a price of 143.50 pence per share.
Following the purchase, there are a further 214,156,564 shares in issue.
