PURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
Schroder UK Growth Fund plc announces that on 17 April 2000, the Company
purchased 113,022 shares for cancellation, at an average price of 141.36 pence
per share. Following the purchase, there are a further 208,045,948 shares in
issue.
