PURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
Schroder UK Growth Fund plc announces that on 13 January 2000, the Company
purchased 138,217 shares for cancellation, at an average price of 145.98 pence
per share. Following this purchase, there are a further 217,292,132 shares in
issue.
