PURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
Schroder UK Growth Fund plc announces that on 29 October 1999, the Company
purchased 64,552 shares for cancellation, at a price of 141.50 pence per share.
Following the purchases, there are a further 221,747,914 shares in issue.
