PURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
Schroder UK Growth Fund plc announces that on 15 December 1999, the Company
purchased 135,000 shares for cancellation, at a price of 140.50 pence per share.
Following the purchases, there are a further 221,376,851 shares in issue.
