PURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
Schroder UK Growth Fund plc announces that on 4 January 2000, the Company
purchased 1,013,583 shares for cancellation, at an average price of 148.34 pence
per share. Following the purchases, there are a further 219,254,207 shares in
issue.
