PURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
Schroder UK Growth Fund plc announces that on 11 October 1999, the Company
purchase 135,000 shares for cancellation, at a price of 143.50 pence per share.
Following the purchase, there are a further 223,696,580 shares in issue.
