PURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
Schroder UK Growth Fund plc announces that on 4 October 1999, the Company
purchased 69,198 shares for cancellation, at a price of 139.50 pence per share.
Following the purchase, there are a further 223,831,580 shares in issue.
