Management arrangements


The Board of F&C Pacific Investment Trust  PLC has been informed by F&C
Management that Christian Dangerfield, the Company's Lead Fund Manager, will be
leaving F&C. Mike Hanbury-Williams, who has been appointed Head of Asian
Equities at F&C, will manage the Company's portfolio on an interim basis.  The
Board will review with F&C the proposed future management arrangements for the
Company and will make a further announcement in due course.
