Appointment of Non-Executive Director

The Board of the Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Alan John
Barber as a Non-Executive Director of the Company and Chairman of the Audit
Committee with effect from 23 July 2007.

Mr Barber is a Non-Executive Director of Management Consulting Group plc,
Invesco English & International Trust plc, JP Morgan Japanese Investment Trust
plc and Western & Oriental plc.  He was previously a Non-Executive Director of
Teather & Greenwood Holdings plc and lastminute.com plc.  Mr Barber previously
worked for KPMG for 35 years where he had been a partner since 1979.   Mr Barber
has also held a number of consultancy roles and directorships.

A list of Mr Barber's current and past five years' directorships of publicly
quoted companies is set out below:
