Board Appointment at Babcock International Group PLC

The Board of Babcock International Group PLC ('Babcock') announces, in
accordance with paragraphs 16.7 and 16.8 of The Listing Rules, that at its
meeting held today it formally appointed Mr Gordon Campbell an executive
director of Babcock. Mr Campbell becomes Babcock's Chief Executive.

In accordance with the disclosure requirements of paragraph 16.4(a), Mr Campbell
is a former director of Courtaulds plc, AEA Technology PLC and Argos PLC.

No information is required to be disclosed under paragraph 6.F.2(b) to (g).
