Babcock International Group PLC has received notification that as at 24
January 2001, FMR Corp and Fidelity International Limited along with their
direct and indirect subsidiary companies, have an interest in 15,599,633
Ordinary Shares of 60p each in the Company. This interest represents 10.98% of
the issued Ordinary Share capital of the Company.
