Axis Intermodal PLC 20 June 2007 Axis Intermodal PLC ('Axis Intermodal' or the 'Company') Annual General Meeting Trading Statement The Annual General Meeting of Axis Intermodal plc was held today and all resolutions proposed were duly passed. Robert Montague CBE, the Executive Chairman made the following statement: 'The 2006 results reflect the continued strengthening and growth of our business. The Group, under the Axis Intermodal brand, has made further positive progress in the first five months of 2007. UK market conditions have continued to improve and contract hire pricing remains very resilient. Our overall fleet of trucks and trailers has already increased by 40% and the number of new business prospects remains healthy. Germany performs in line with our expectations managing the swapbody fleet on a revenue-shared basis, not only in Germany but in Switzerland, Austria, and Benelux. The fleet has grown over 12% so far with 23 new contracts and 11 new customers as we increase the fleet with an anticipated 1,300 new units during 2007. Having completed the Group restructure, under the Axis brand, the Board continues to focus on increasing profitability and shareholder value.'
