Avon announces that Leland (Lee) Richards is appointed Managing Director Avon
Automotive with immediate effect.

Lee, who is currently President of Avon Automotive North America, will take
responsibility for all of Avon's automotive activities worldwide. He is an
Executive Director of the Group and joined the Board in September 2001. He will
continue to be based in Michigan, USA.
