Avingtrans plc (the 'Company') were advised in a letter received on 9 May 2005,
that following the sale of 25,000 ordinary shares of nominal value 5p on 5 May
2005, F&C Asset Management plc's holding in the Company has decreased from
3,008,333 ordinary shares to 2,983,333 ordinary shares. This represents a change
in interest from 21.1% to 20.9% in the issued ordinary share capital of the
Company.
