Avingtrans plc today received notification that on 24 January 2008 Roger
McDowell's Personal Pension acquired 200,000 ordinary shares of 5 pence each in
the Company ('Ordinary shares'). Following this acquisition, Roger McDowell's
Personal Pension holds 925,500 Ordinary Shares, representing approximately 5.3
per cent. of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.


The Company also received notification today that on 24 January 2008 Philip
McDowell's Personal Pension Account acquired 200,000 Ordinary Shares. Following
this acquisition, Philip McDowell's Personal Pension Account holds 925,500
Ordinary Shares representing approximately 5.3 per cent. of the Company's issued
ordinary share capital.
